About us · R&D lineage

Built on publicly funded research since 2013.

Cyclops began as research at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). For four years it was built and refined in EU and Swiss funded projects with telcos, cloud providers and universities. After the 2017 spin-off we extended it to European supercomputing centres and validated it on two national supercomputers.

From university research to supercomputing centres

Each project added something the platform still uses today: one ledger for telco and cloud, billing for virtual network functions, academic cloud use, Swiss cloud settings and HPC monetisation.

LEXIS: monetisation of European HPC centres

Cyclops was extended to meter, rate and bill the use of supercomputing resources, and validated on two national supercomputing centres.

Research you can run in production

The same platform now meters and bills compute and reports energy for HPC centres and AI datacenters.
